Over a hundred members participated in the vote for the grand winner.

Here is the logo that will follow the association wherever it goes!

Launch of the contest - Septembre 17th 2022

The time has come to establish a visual identity that represents our activities and our community! And who better than our community to make it happen?

That’s why we invite you to unleash your creativity and propose a logo that inspires you for the Surf Grand Montréal Association.

The creator of the selected logo will win a surfboard-making course with Alchimie Surboards, in Villeray.

Selection Process Overview

It's simple: the Board of Directors will select the top 3 logos that best meet the selection criteria below. Then, the association members will vote for their favorite!

Selection Criteria

Here are the criteria on which the Board of Directors members will base their selection.

• Reflects the personality, mission, and activities of the association.

• Adheres to good graphic design practices: simplicity, scalability, etc.

• Incorporates concepts related to river surfing and/or Greater Montreal (e.g., the shape of Montreal Island, the river, landmarks of Greater Montreal, a wave, a surfboard, a fin, etc.).

• Use of suggested key terms: Surf Grand Montréal (avoid acronyms like SGM or ASRGM).

Expected format for final logo :

• Vectorized logo in color

• Vectorized logo « all white »

• Vectorized logo « all black »

Accepted : digital drawings (non-vectorized) and scanned drawings (jpeg)

Submit your logo in JPEG or PNG format to the following email address by October 25th, 5:00 PM (Eastern Time) : surfgrandmontreal@gmail.com.

The winner will be contacted by email.

Prize value: $60

The Board of Directors reserves the right to request a final round of modifications and the variations described in the "Expected Format of the Final Logo" section.
