Surf Grand Montréal would like to share with you the surf etiquette at Habitat 67. Please feel free to share it with your fellow surfers.
The code of conduct explained
Identify the person in front of you in the line.
Be ready at the starting point indicated below when it's your turn.
PRIORITY goes to the person who arrives at the wave.
Watch the time of the person in front of you.
When it’s up, wave your hand to signal them and head towards the wave. It’s yours!

Number of persons in line | Time on the wave before next departure |
1-9 | 1 minute |
10-20 | 30 seconds |
21 et + | 0 second - Touch & Go |
Other guidelines
Respect your limits.
It’s through communication that we’ll avoid misunderstandings. Don’t be shy! Plus, it’s nice 🙂
For safety reasons, the use of a rope is not recommended.
*The etiquette is suggested solely to keep our community united and to ensure that our sport remains enjoyable and safe.
